DC National Monument Engagement Session
Michael and Nicole
I’m so excited to congratulations Nicole and Michael on their engagement. This wonderful couple recently took a special trip to Washington, DC with their family and I was so thrilled when they reached out to me about an engagement session. Washington’s beauty, history, and the significance of the many monuments holds a special charm for this couple, as Nicole is a history teacher and Micheal recently graduated with a masters degree in political science.
When we scheduled this session there was no way we could have anticipated that the Washington Capitals Victory Parade would have been the morning of their sunrise session and that Washington DC would have been virtually shutdown. Regardless of the closed streets and the excitement of the city, we were blessed with a gorgeous morning, which made it worth the struggle of navigating the streets on this joyously chaotic day.
We began the session at the Jefferson Memorial just as the sun was rising over the tidal basin. It was the beginning of gorgeous day. Next we shot at the Lincoln Memorial in the early morning light. I felt so lucky to photograph this beautiful couple as the began their beautiful journey together.
