Cannon Beach, Oregon is an extraordinary place to shoot photos. There are breathtaking coastline views, a beautiful sandy beach, and the iconic Haystack Rock. National Geographic has even named this remarkable place as one of the world’s most beautiful places, and I definitely agree!
The landscape and scenery is just gorgeous. It’s also a very romantic place, with an atmosphere that evokes the mysteries and magnificence of love. I have done a few engagement and even wedding shoots at Cannon Beach, and I just love this jaw-dropping backdrop.
But Cannon Beach is also a top destination for families, and can be an excellent setting for family photo shoots. With a family as your subject, the scenery automatically switches from romantic to fun and beachy.
When I shoot family photos, I like to make sure to get a variety of shots with families. I want to make sure that each parent gets an individual image (or more!) with their kids and that the parents even get a shot without the kids. After all, their love was the foundation of their beautiful little group!
I really enjoyed shooting photos with this lovely family of three. We went out to Haystack Rock and got plenty of fantastic shots with the unique rock in the background. The mist from the ocean brought a special aura.
