Summer Lavender Farm Wedding
4 Ways to Simplify your Wedding Planning – It is all in the Details
This summer lavender farm themed wedding at Woodinville Lavender Farm is one for the books. It is one of my favorites from the past few years for many reasons. One, how much James and Laura love each other. Two, the venue was so fragrant and gorgeous. Three, the details. I loved how simple, yet elegant all of the details are. The bride, Laura, did an amazing job with infusing personal elements throughout the wedding day details. She makes soap as a hobby and used this skill making soap at the lavender farm. The bride’s gift to her guest was a fragrant handcrafted lavender soap. How cool is that?
Drawing on Laura and James’ amazing wedding for inspiration, here are some tips to simplify your wedding planning:
One: Sometimes simpler is better. Details on you wedding day are so important, but they don’t have to be complicated to be beautiful. Her wedding bouquet was simply a bouquet of lavender and her center pieces were stems of lavender. It was gorgeous and not a ton of effort.
Two: Stay with your theme, it makes decision making easier. Laura did a great job keeping the lavender theme throughout every element of her wedding. Lavender bridesmaid dresses, lavender ties, lavender decor. It really makes life easier and less stressful when decisions are easy to make!
Three: Delegate. My favorite piece of advice for brides is delegate. I know that you want your wedding to be perfect. But you also want to be able to enjoy the day, so delegate small tasks like table decor, set up and tear down to members of your family and bridal party. You will thank yourself on the big day so you can rest easy that the details are taken care of.
Five: Relax. The day will unfold as it does and it won’t necessarily be as planned. But that doesn’t mean it won’t be amazing. If you can, go with the flow and remember the real reason why you are there. To marry the love of your life!
